Reformer Pilates is a full body, low impact exercise method performed on a specalised machine called the Reformer. Unlike Mat Pilates, the Reformer introduces adjustable resistance and support.
This unique machine allows for a greater variety of exercises and a much wider range of motion than can be achieved on the mat alone. By adjusting the resistance, the workout can be tailored to be either highly challenging; increasing resistance for strength training or highly supportive; decreasing resistance for rehabilitation and deep stretching.
The core focus remains on the foundational Pilates principles: Concentration, Control, Centering, Breath, Precision and Flow.
